Young eyes
Should my child have their eyes tested?Yes! It is important for children to have their eyes tested from an early age. Older children have their eyes tested in the same way as adults, but tests can be adapted for younger children, so they don't need to know their letters before their eyes can be checked. We strongly recommend that your child has their eyes tested before they start school, particularly if other family members wear glasses or have eye problems. Eye tests are completely free for all children under 16, and 17-18 year olds in full time education. |
