Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses are a great option for most spectacle wearers. Although they have been around for many years, the past decade has seen many important developments in lens materials and design. Today, more than 3.5 million people in the UK wear contact lenses.

Daily disposable contact lenses

Daily disposable contact lenses are the most hassle-free option available. You don't need to clean them or store them in a case - simply wear them once and throw them away.

Re-usable contact lenses

Monthly/fortnightly replacement lenses can be cleaned, stored and reused for a certain number of days. They are an economical option and are available to most prescriptions.

Contact lenses for astigmatism

Astigmatism is not 'a stigma'! In fact, it is a very common visual problem. In the past it was considered more difficult to correct astigmatism with contact lenses than with glasses, but this is no longer true. There are now many different daily disposable and re-usable lenses available to correct astigmatism. These are known as 'toric' contact lenses.

Multifocal contact lenses

Around the age of 40 we begin to find it increasingly difficult to focus at near distance, and so become more aware of our vision when we are performing tasks such as reading or using a mobile phone. This 'frustratingly natural' condition is called 'presbyopia'. Fortunately, there are several different types multifocal contact lenses available, and these can offer the perfect solution for many presbyopes.
